Contrast - OpeRap
Opera meets Rap

Opera meets Rap - a new sound world

The musicians Ewa Paprotna and Prince Zeka, both high-caliber international singers, are bringing a breath of fresh air to the music world under the name "Contrast." With their new and highly innovative style "OpeRap" – a blend of classical music and opera, rap, hip hop and Afro-beat – they present a very interesting musical innovation.

Their first concert together took place in May 2014 as part of the "Global Festival" in Vienna. They presented their first joint single, "Mon Espoir," a pop song with French and Polish lyrics. After years of pursuing their own musical projects, they reunited in 2019 for another joint project, the Christmas song "Love Me First", that, with its artistic combination of opera and hip hop, can be considered a prototype of this style.
In December 2019, they performed together again at the Cieplice Slaskie-Zdrój Spa Theater in Jelenia Góra, Poland. Their repertoire included classical opera arias, pop Christmas songs, and original compositions in their style "OpeRap." They also presented their new single "Love Me First". In January 2025 they were invited again to perform at the Zdrojowy Teatr Animacji in Jeleniej Górze, Poland.

In the summer of 2025, they produced the song "Mozart Spirit" and also the video of the same name (see below). They are currently working on a stage program that they will perform at the Vindobona on March 21, 2026.
