Prince Zeka

Prince Zeka is an Austrian singer, rapper, guitarist, composer and producer, originally from the Democratic  Republic of the Congo, and is living in Vienna  since many years, where he is a fixed size in the world music scene.
He calls his music "Le Makoul," a style he developed that combines Afro-Rhythm, Soukous, La Rumba Congolaise, Reggae and Funk into a refreshing blend, to which he lends his distinctive timbre with his warm voice, which masters tongue-twisting rap with equal aplomb as soulful Soul.

The peculiarity of his music lies in the enormous complexity of sound and rhythms: he mixes melodic Soul with rhythmic elements of Afro-Beat, Soukous, Funk and Hip hop, he sings and raps in French, Swahili, English or Lingala, and the influences of Congolese Rumba – the music of his home country, Zaire – are also clearly audible.
Prince Zeka is a highly creative songwriter, having written and composed countless songs in various styles, including Funk, Reggae, Rumba congolaise, Afro-beat, Jazz and Soul. With the crossover project "Contrast" he is now expanding his musical work into the field of opera.
